Mega Speed Cargo Services LLC - Shipment Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions:

  • 100% Cash payment or bank transfer or deposit against the original bill of lading (B/L).
  • Freight charges are payable upfront in local currency AED (United Arab Emirates Dirham) in Dubai.
  • Vehicles and documents, general cargo, and any such cargo must be delivered to our premises.
  • Original Bill of Lading (OBL) must be collected within 10 days from Vessel’s sailing date.
  • A late B/L collection fee of US$150 is applicable after that.
  • Rates are subject to equipment availability, space, and cargo acceptance by the line and quote validity.
  • Shipment transit times mentioned are approximate and subject to variations.
  • Dangerous cargo (DG) is subject to hazardous desk approval before acceptance of the booking.
  • Unless specified, the quoted rate is for non-hazardous cargo. It is the client’s responsibility to declare any hazardous (DG) cargo. Any mis-declaration will invalidate the quote and will lead to penalties and fines.
  • Declaration of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles as Dangerous Goods (DG): It is mandatory to declare hybrid and electric vehicles as Dangerous Goods (DG). Failure to declare these vehicles properly will result in a significant fine of USD 50,000.00, and serious legal penalties may be imposed by international authorities for misdeclaration. 
  • Please note that the provided quotation only applies to vehicles with Petrol and Diesel fuel engines, and does not cover hybrid engines.
  • Responsibility and Liability:
    The company is not responsible for any spare parts or loaded cargo that is missing.
  • Fines are applicable for overweight containers exceeding the payload capacity, and this is passed on to the client.
  • Hazardous cargo or Marine Pollutants loaded in limited quantities must be properly declared, with proper labels affixed to the container.
  • The invoicing currency exchange rate is 1 USD = 3.685 AED.
  • We are not liable for any transit damage to your vehicles/cargo.
    Insurance for your vehicle/cargo is strongly recommended for protection. Any claims arising from any damage in transit will not be our responsibility and will not be entertained.
  • Insurance Details:
    For only 0.39% of the cargo value or a minimum of AED 350.00 (whichever is higher), your shipment can be covered for a wide range of possible loss and damages.
  • We are not liable for any damage to uninsured cargo.

Additional Charges and Services:
Bill of lading courier or telex charges will be additional if required, roughly $100.

  • Tin Can/Apapa port requires form M number.
  • The destination certificate is not included in the above quote.
  • Free storage for vehicles/cargo is for 5 days; thereafter, storage charges will be applicable.
  • Please note the quoted rate is based on the dimensions furnished by you. In the event of different dimensions, this rate is invalid.
  • This quote is subject to scanning at transshipment ports; all charges for the same will be on your/shipper’s account.

Important Notes:
Ensure cargo clearance at the destination upon vessel arrival. Non-clearance may result in liability.

  • Prompt collection of original B/L [within 7 days of vessel sailing] and settlement of freight is necessary.
  • Non-clearance incurs additional charges of 5% on the total freight for the next 14 days; after 14 days, 10% is strictly applicable.
  • Charges are applicable in case of booking cancellation or no-show.
  • Inform us well in advance of booking cancellations to avoid cancellation fees.
  • Container roll-over charges apply if cargo/vehicles/documents are not received before the cut-off time.
  • Additional VAT and customs charges will be applicable per set of exits.
  • Any other charges beyond those mentioned are actual as per receipt.
  • Transport charges quoted are within Dubai city limits; additional charges apply for other Emirates.

Additional Important Notes:

• Due to the current situation and operational conditions, transit times are indicative only and cannot be guaranteed.

• Due to the ongoing situation, any delays, additional charges, penalties, storage costs, demurrage, detention, port charges, or any other related expenses arising during transit shall be solely for the customer’s account and responsibility.

• Due to ongoing border delays, port congestion, and operational constraints, we cannot guarantee shipment on the intended vessel. Cargo may be rolled over to the next available sailing without prior notice.

• Port charges, storage charges, demurrage, detention, and any related fees will be applicable once the free time allowed by the port, shipping line, terminal, or relevant authority has been exceeded.
